Issue of an authenticator key via Taxisnet www.gsis.gr is necessary in order to fill in and file all tax statements of tax payers and businesses.
We will describe the issue process and possible "pitfalls". If you are already a user, your codes are valid. In order to avoid their deactivation you, or a duly authorized representative of yours, should go the Registrar Department of any Tax Authority (for physical persons) or of the competent Tax Authority (for legal persons) until 31/12/2013 and receive your authenticator key. Only information required is your TIN number, your ID card or your passport. Once the process at the Registrar Department is completed you will receive the authenticator key that is necessary in order to activate your account.
If you are a new user and you want to issue your codes, you must file an initial registration application, fill in the relevant application form stating the username and password you wish. Then, print out the application and go the Registrar Department of the competent Tax Authority (or any Tax Authority if you have already declared any possible change in your personal information to the Registrar Department, i.e. change of ID number,) to receive your authenticator key. You will be asked to show your ID card.
For legal persons in particular, the company's legal representative or a representative thereof can receive the authenticator key only from the competent Tax Authority.
In order to activate your account, go to the account activation website, fill in your username and password that you selected in your registration application, the authenticator key you received from the Tax Authority including any hyphens and letters you see in the image. Then, change the password and select activation to complete the process successfully.
Keep your authenticator key in a safe place because you will need it in case you forget your password.
If message "you are already a registered user" appears when you complete the initial registration application, it means you have already issued codes in the past. If you forgot them or can't access them you can apply for re-registration in order to issue new codes and follow the above mentioned process.
In case you forgot your password state a new password. In order to enter this service, username and authenticator key are necessary.
But it is not possible to change your username in the new system. In order to change your username, go to certification services and apply for re-registration; now you can choose a new username. Following re-registration, you should go to the Tax Authority to pick up the new authenticator key and then activate your account.
HOW TO ISSUE AUTHENTICATOR KEY AND CODES VIA TAXISNET:
Step 1, Pick up the authenticator key at the Tax Authority.
Old users should go to the Registrar Department of any Tax Authority to pick up their authenticators keys. Documents required for proof of identity are: TIN number, ID card, passport or other document that proves the user's identity. It is noted that since this process concerns a tax payer himself or a tax payer who lives abroad for whom a process agent has been designated or a child of whom he has parental responsibility or a legal person, provided that he is the legal representative thereof and his personal information are already registered in the Tax Authority's register, he should go to the Tax Authority in person. In case of inability to go to the Tax Authority, a Special Power of Attorney should be presented regarding the said certification process. Following the completion of this process at the Registrar Department two certifications are printed out and delivered to the tax payer. One of them includes the authenticator key necessary to activate the account.
Step 2, User Account activation.
Then, the user logs in on the new Taxisnet website and follows the path "BASIC FUNCTIONS" - "Certification Services" - "Account Activation". The user enters information shown on the screen as indicated by the system and becomes a certified user of the new Taxisnet.
Legal-Physical Persons that had become users before 06/12/2010 can file their Tax returns online using their previous access codes. This process shall be valid until 31/12/2013. No re-registration is required.
NEW USER REGISTRATION:
Step 1, Filing of registration application.
The tax payer fills in the registration application online following the directions and functions indicated on www.taxisnet.grwebsite. The application is automatically controlled and if personal information stated is verified against this registered in GSIS, a confirmation note is automatically generated including the deadline until when the tax payer must go to the Tax Authority to pick up an authenticator key issued on his behalf.
Step 2, Application approval at the Tax Authority.
The tax payer must go to the Registrar Department of the Tax Authority to pick up the authenticator key issued during the previous step. Documents required for proof of identity are: TIN number, ID card, passport or other document that proves the tax payer's identity. (same process for authenticator key issue Step 1)
Step 3, User Account activation.
The tax payer logs in on the new Taxisnet website and follows the path "BASIC FUNCTIONS" - "Certification Services" - "Account Activation". The tax payer enters information shown on the screen as indicated by the system and becomes a certified user of the new Taxisnet. (same process for authenticator key issue Step 2)
